I can't log into the Library's databases. What should I do?

Answer

First, make sure you are logging in with the same username and password as your MyChaffey Portal account.

Note: Only students enrolled in the current term have access to Chaffey Library's databases.

What’s my user ID?

Username should include first letter of first name and first letter of last name (lowercase) and your student ID (ex: to0861234).

You may also look up your ID by clicking here: https://webadv-prod.ec.chaffey.edu/WAPROD/WAPROD?TOKENIDX=9610519774&SS=1&APP=CORE.

What’s my password?

Password should be the same password used to log in to MyChaffey (at least 15 characters long).

Password is case sensitive.
Be sure your browser is not auto-loading an old password.
Password is NOT your birthdate.

Multi-factor Authentication

When you log into the portal for the first time, you will be required to provide either a mobile phone number or a personal email address in order to complete the setup of your account. The phone number or email address you provide will then be used to send you a one-time security code each time you log into the portal. In addition to your user ID and password, you will be required to enter that security code in order to login to the portal.

Possible Solutions

  • Clear your cache/cookies or use a different browser.
  • Change your password via MyChaffey Portal. See links under the red Login button.
